Roles & permissions
Nexus has three workspace-level roles. Every member of a workspace has exactly one role.
Roles
Admin
Admins have full access to everything in the workspace:
- Create, edit, and delete any node
- Invite and remove members
- Change member roles
- Manage workspace settings
- Delete the workspace
Editor
Editors can work freely with content but cannot manage the workspace itself:
- Create, edit, and delete their own nodes
- Edit documents they have access to
- Leave comments on any document
- Cannot change workspace settings or manage members
Viewer
Viewers have read-only access:
- Read all documents in the workspace
- Cannot edit content
- Cannot leave comments
- Cannot create new pages
Changing roles
Go to Settings → Members. Click the role badge next to any member's name to change it. Only Admins can change roles.
Removing members
In Settings → Members, click the three-dot menu next to a member and select Remove from workspace. Their content remains. Only Admins can remove members.
